  • 3:00am – Pick up from your hotel in Cusco and departure to Mollepata. You’ll be picked up by your guide and driver from your hotel in Cusco and embark on a scenic 3-hour drive through the Andean highlands to the small town of Mollepata.
  • 6:30am – Stop for breakfast and to purchase any last-minute supplies. You’ll make a brief stop for breakfast and to purchase any last-minute supplies you may need, such as water or snacks, before continuing on to Soraypampa.
  • 8:00am – Arrival at Soraypampa and begin trek to Humantay Lake. Upon arrival at Soraypampa, you’ll begin the trek to Humantay Lake. The trek is approximately 7 kilometers (4.3 miles) round trip and takes about 2 hours each way. The trail is steep in some sections, so be prepared for a challenging hike.
  • 10:00am – Arrive at Humantay Lake and take in the stunning views. Once you arrive at Humantay Lake, you’ll have time to take in the breathtaking views of the turquoise waters surrounded by towering snow-capped peaks. You can take photos, relax, and soak in the peaceful atmosphere of this natural wonder.
  • 11:00am – Begin descent to Soraypampa. After enjoying the beauty of Humantay Lake, you’ll begin the descent back to Soraypampa. The descent takes about 1.5 hours and can be a bit steep, so be sure to watch your step.
  • 1:00pm – Enjoy a delicious lunch in Soraypampa. Upon returning to Soraypampa, you’ll enjoy a delicious lunch of Peruvian cuisine in the heart of the mountains. This is a great opportunity to recharge and relax after the trek.
  • 2:00pm – Departure from Soraypampa and return to Cusco. After lunch, you’ll say goodbye to Soraypampa and begin the journey back to Cusco. The drive back takes about 4 hours, so sit back and enjoy the stunning scenery along the way.
  • 5:00pm – Drop off at your hotel in Cusco. You’ll be dropped off at your hotel in Cusco around 6:00pm, where you can rest and reflect on the incredible adventure you just experienced.
